Basmati Rice – 2 cups.
Cumin/Jeera – 3tsp.
Cinnamon/Patta – 3 1 inch pieces.
Cardamom – 4.
Bay Leaf – 1
Cloves – 4.
Mace threads – 3.
Ghee – 2 1/2 tbsp(I used Oil).
Water – 4 cups.
Salt to taste.
1.Wash the rice well and keep aside.
2.Heat Oil/Ghee in a Pressure Cooker.
2.Add the cumin and all the whole spices said above.
3.Once the ghee/oil starts giving the spiced aroma,add the washed Rice and saute for about 2
4.Now add water and salt.
5.Close the Lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
6.When pressure releases, fluff the rice with a fork and serve
